the new drivers licenses. It's their photo, but your drivers license number and address. Who's account is the money coming from? When do you find out someone is writing checks from your account? 30 days later when and if you check your bank statement, or when the check bounces. When the check bounces who's in trouble? As most cameras don't show who's in the photo on the ID, unless you can identify who's on the video tape (if there is one) they walk. (See Report 9). With a stolen drivers license a person could get arrested for DWI, or DUI (Use your name, claim they have no ID, and post bail) then fail to appear in court. Many have even used your drivers license to buy a car in your name, and then use the car in crimes (drive byes, bank robbery, drug deals etc. ). Since most of the time it's your information, their photo, but only the printed information on the drivers license is recorded. Who do the cops pick up? (See Report 8) Many thieves use your drivers license when applying for jobs, to open new bank accounts, or even start a business. Sometimes they will take the fake one, and apply for a real one with their new address, but your name & drivers license number. Many over the road truck drivers have lost their careers because someone had stolen their commercial drivers license. Perhaps a driver that had his license suspended for past violations, or not paying child support. Until recently many states had your social security number as your drivers license number, unfortunately many of these numbers are still in old files and on the web.
